Shipping Information

Do you have any discounts or programs with freight carriers? If so, we need to know.
To keep costs down, you can ship two covers to the same address for the same price.
- Receiving Freight - Most importantly, no matter where or how you have your spa covers shipped, it is absolutely essential someone meets the shipment and inspect it for possible damage. Once you accept a shipment, it is more difficult to resolve any damage issues.
- Freight Damaged - Should an order be damaged, do not accept (refuse delivery) the damaged carton. Have the shipper return the damaged carton to Spa Cover, Inc. We will expedite a replacement unit to you.
- Extra Services - All freight lines charge for any extra services they provide. Example; A. "Set up Fee" Freight line charges for calling the customer. B. "Redelivery" Freight line company charges for redelivery.
Freight Options
If you have an account with a freight line, please inform us.
Depending on your account, freight lines will use your programs and discounts. It has been our experience in most cases, our discounts and programs are greater, thus saving you.
Please thoroughly discuss your freight requirements before placing your order.
Below are a few facts which may assist you:
- Freight Collect - This is the most common and accurate way to ship the spa cover. When the shipment arrives at your destination, you would be responsible for paying the actual freight charges. To avoid writing checks every delivery, setup an account with the freight carrier.
- C.O.D. - This means the customer pays for the cover and freight charges upon receiving. The freight companies charge an extra fee for C.O.D. shipments.
- 3rd Party Billing - This is an account setup by corporations that has multiple store locations but one billing location. It is setup in advance directly with the specific shipper.
- Commercial - Any public building, store, storefront, warehouse, or other building that is open to the public is considered a commercial address. It is essential we know where the shipment is going BEFORE we ship, or additional costs could be incurred.
- Residential - We work with several carriers who can deliver to any residential address WITHOUT additional costs. But it is absolutely essential that when an order is placed you let us know if the order is being delivered to a residence. Most carriers define residential as any private home, neighborhood, gated community, or other private dwelling not open to the general public. Even if you work out of your home, it is still considered a residence.
